One Moment

It is in IF you *believe*. For a *belief* is no more than a cop-out because we are to afraid to Directly Experience ourselves. Either we *believe* and thereby controlled and manipulated by those *beliefs*, or we Directly Experience each Moment, Moment by Moment, AS it IS so that we can Realize The Truth and Reality of What-IS and not what we are conditioned to *think* what we are conditioned is.

Ah, the Philosopher's Stone, and in some parts, the Holy Grail. The Philosopher's Stone is a remnant of Alchemy (the Hermitic Sciences), spread worldwide from Egypt, starting with the First Kingdom, it was the migration of the first real organized system of a Solitary God so naturally is embedded in the very foundation of most world religions. Of course organized religion would have to get rid of the Mystique of Alchemy and anything pertaining to Hermes (Ancient Egypt's Solitary God), but the basic Transmutation of the base physically oriented person to the Awakening individual dedicated to the notion of a single God had to be kept under the mask of their own rendition. Of course the Mystic branch of any *One God* system, Gnosticism in the case of Christianity, broke away from the mainstay of the particular religion to dwell more on the Mystical perspective. So it is the Gnostics, Christian Alchemists, who kept the Philosopher's Stone alive and well in Christianity.

The Philosopher's Stone has never been *lost*, simply misplaced by the physical plane oriented. Though the Physical Alchemists hold that it is a necessary tool in our Transfiguration, our Awakening, our Enlightenment, many non-Alchemists have made such a Transition from Sleeping and Awakening. There are Deeper aspects of The Stone that can be used after Awakening, and The Stone being a necessary ingredient, though few True Alchemists trying to Create The Stone realize that what they say is True but that is not there Intent. Alchemy is an Honorable study, and one well worth any time spent in the study. It is a Metaphysical Study, and of little use to the physically oriented.

Indeed, modern Chemistry evolved out of Alchemy for there was such the need for a physical science. But you do not have to be a Chemist or Physicist or Mathematician or Astrologer or Astronomer or Sage of Wisdom Teachings or Shaman (which the True Alchemist must be all of and more), all you need is Openness and Honesty in The Study of The Philosopher's Stone. It may not make you an Alchemist, but it will give you a Clearer Perception of Life and our conditioned way of thinking and behavior.

If I may, who would want to spend the effort to Study anything if one would not want to glean some benefit from it ? If you Seek The Philosopher's Stone, be prepared to make some changes in your perception. Many leave the Search For The Philosopher's Stone short of their goal of Inner Transmutation, but none leave without beneficial change to their perspective of Life. Awakening, one will Recognize Awakening for they are Awakening. Awakening, one will Recognize Sleep for they were once Sleeping. Anyone, Awakening or Sleeping, would, I would say, recognize or observe varying ways of saying the same thing.

If indeed, ego reacting to a statement due to some interpretation that the statement was different and therefore incorrect (which is the Cause of much Suffering and Conflict and War in the world at large), then indeed one would be controlled and manipulated by the Grand Trickster the conditioned mind. So I would say that my reply to your post was a response due to a Recognition, and not a reaction by one trying to oppose another.

Reaction would indeed be that the ego reacted to a statement due to some interpretation that the statement was different and therefore incorrect (which is the Cause of much Suffering and Conflict and War in the world at large), then indeed one would be controlled and manipulated by the Grand Trickster the conditioned mind.

I would not say to directly kill the ego, but rather to discard (kill) our conditioned notions and the ego would be indirectly discarded (killed) as a result for ego is in our conditioned notions. As long as we refuse to give up the Causes of our Suffering, or refuse to discard our conditioned thinking and behavior, we will always be controlled and manipulated by our conditioned ego. Ego = Translator = Filter = Separation = Good & Bad = Right and Wrong = Judgement = Priority = Worth = Misuse = Abuse = War = Conflict = Hunger = Inequity = any number of ills that we face day to day in the society at large.

First, the Whole does include All, that is a given, so nothing is "apart" from anything other than in dialog (which tends to appear dualistic at the surface). Do not avoid the conditionings by the world that we live in, the tendencies and inclinations that lend us to think and act in particular frames of reference. This is what I refer to as the *Grand Trickster* -- the conditioned mind. Would you say that we should not empty ourselves of this vermin that keeps our Awakening Veiled ? Are these conditionings not the very Causes of our Suffering regardless of what that Suffering might be ? I am not the first to point to conditionings being our Blindness and I will not be the last.

We must take care of this instrument, this vehicle we use and ARE, for it has it's worth in experiencing the manifestation of physical form at the human stage of evolution and to Help others in their Awakening. But beyond that, the physical plane is not worth attaching so much importance to it that we would destroy each other to *have* it. This is the contrivances of our conditioning (the Grand Trickster). The form's duration is limited, our Essence is not. We must not cling to that which we Realize is but a *passing*.

Only in dialog does there seem to be a separation, but it is our conditioned mind, our conditioned thinking, that is the Grand Trickster and it is with us until we discard it's Influence over us, discard it's control and manipulation of our thinking and behavior. Then and only then can we possibly start Awakening.

Of course, any statement can be turned around to state about anything that the Grand Trickster would like it to state. But the fact remains, if we are full of conditioned ideas and images and meanings and notions of any kind we can be filled no further with the Light of Awakening. Only an empty glass can be filled, we can add nothing to a full glass.

It is an Illusion contrived by the conditioned mind to establish our self-importance and thereby a hinderance to our Awakening. A help-mate to most, but not to those who are Awakening. In Awakening, we will Observe the activities of this creature we call the ego and call it to task to reveal it's worth as an aspect of our BEing. Yet, IN the Moment of no projected conditionings into/onto the experience of that Moment, ego will not be present. So it would seem that if the Moment is the only instance of Reality, and ego is not present, then would not ego be part of that conditioned thinking that when discarded with all other Illusions will self-destruct with the other Illusions ?

Conditioned ideas and images and meanings and notions of all sorts are not "straw-men", but rather very well armored an equipped to battle for their survival. In fact, the greatest battle we will ever face is to discard these Causes of our Suffering. The Bhagavad Gita points this out quite readily. But of course this can not make much sense until we Directly Experience it.

Does anything exist *outside* Wholeness ? Does anything exist *outside* What-IS ? I have Seen nothing that does.

Siddhartha said that *problems* were causeless in that we establish them ourselves. He did say that we would not give up the Causes of our Suffering because these Causes were our conditionings.

We can Realize our shortcomings by Openly and Honestly Observing our human frailties and conditionings in the Mirror of Truth. In Openly and Honestly, without any conditioned notions as to our likes and dislikes, we See the jesters we are and how controlled and manipulated we are. If it does not scar us too badly we Struggle to rid ourselves of this pestilence we call conditionings. And eventually we stand before the Mirror of Truth and See the Divine Essence of Awakening that we ARE. And when we step away from that Mirror as the Awakening Essence that we ARE we Realize a Peace and Contentment and Compassion and Empathy with All, and conditionings such as *ego* are not recognized any more.

Is not the root of Sleeping or Suffering, attachment ? Is not the root of attachment, desire ? "No matter where you go, there you are".

But may I offer, that "Either/Or" is not the question but rather our Direct Experience of Realizing What-IS. If there are any projected conditioned notions in our experience, then What-IS is not Realized. For in projecting conditioned notions into/onto any given Moment, we will only experience the conditioned projections (which are Illusions) instead of experiencing the Moment. Why "tolerate" anything, why not simply Dwell IN Silence.

What is breathing ? That is, other than an autonomic response of the human organism to get oxygen into the organism or a focus of concentration in some meditation techniques or setting up particular harmonics in the various human energies. Is not the experience of breathing, the experience of breathing ? If we are taking short breaths, is this not the experience of taking short breaths ? If we are taking long breaths, is this not the experience of taking long breaths ? If we are driving a car, is this not the experience of driving a car ? If we are cooking, is this not the experience of cooking ? If we are washing the dishes, is this not the experience of washing the dishes ? Whatever we happen to be doing, is this not the experience of whatever we are doing ? Is this not the experience of What-IS ?

We have a tendency to projects our ideas and images and meanings into any given experience, thereby distorting the experience of What-IS. Distorting it toward our way of thinking -- a conditioned way of thinking. And yet we wonder why it is so difficult to experience What-IS IN the Moment. What-IS IN the Moment has nothing to do with our particular conditioned way of thinking, so it is only a defilement of What-IS IN the Moment by our projections. Perhaps if we discarded the arising conditioned images and ideas and meaning and Observe What-IS AS-it-IS for what it IS of itself and by itself, then we may be able to Dwell IN Awakening. Then we may be able to Dwell IN the Moment. Then we may be able to Experience What-IS. The experience IS the experience of experiencing an experience, and nothing more (or less).

The problem is that conditioned thinking establishes attachments and therefore is of a negative nature. And indeed, we are bound by these conditioned attachments provided by the Grand Trickster the conditioned mind. And if we are to Awaken from such Illusions we must not consider them likened to the "bonding" of parent and child. For conditioned thinking is but a Damian, and we are but foster parents of this antichrist that we seek bonding with. Is not "grasping, a clutching at" conditioned thinking ?

Are we to "be one with" our conditioned thinking ? Is this conditioned thinking not the Causes of our wars and conflict and tension and madness throughout the world ? Is not this conditioned thinking the very basis for our Sleeping ? If not, why would all of the Wise Sages, including Siddhartha and Jesus, tell us to get rid of it ? I guess one could call it "classical", for there is nothing new in what I say, just the way that I say it. There was nothing new in what Siddhartha or Jesus said, it seemed new at the time because of the way they said it. I am only echoing the words of others in terms that I am familiar with.

Indeed, there is established a separation or division between Sleeping and Awakening. But there is no "boundary" or wall or even any resistance other than on the part of the Sleeping (the resistance to Wake-Up). This is most times called "detachment" or "un-attachment". This detachment does not relate to the Oneness of All manifestation, but rather our non-attachment to the physical realm so that we can Realize Oneness.

We can transform ourselves, and Help others transform themselves, and thereby Help in the world being transformed, but our attention must be to transform ourselves. No one saves us but ourselves, no one can and no one may -- others can point to the Path, but we ourselves must Walk the Way. A mission of transforming the world lends to one's avoidance of transforming themselves. For they can not hope to put even a dent in world transformation until they transform themselves. I contend that our attention should be focussed Within rather than on the world.

Awakening, we are strangers in a strange land, so we can Observe the world as one who is not OF it -- though we are obviously IN it. Being OF the world, one would not see to much of it's shortcomings for we would be too close to the picture. We can see distant stars in the heavens as we point at them, but if our finger is too close to the eye our sight is blocked by our finger. Has not all Wise Sages and icons of modern religions told us that Awakening is not "composed of the stuff of my world" ? They have pointed to the Path, but we have to Walk it. Only hermits withdraw from or reject the world, or perhaps enlightened ascended beings. But we who are IN the world, Awakening, must interact with it continually for if nothing else our physical survival. To say nothing of our participation in the work force and economic system to pay bills. So this is simply Experiencing What-IS, and not a withdraw form it. But we do not have to be OF the world, but simply a stranger in a strange land.

Must not Healing start with Healing ourselves ? Are we to contend ourselves to be *want-a-bes* or *rather-bes* ? Is it not a colloquialism that we should clean up our own back yard before instructing others to clean up their's ? Siddhartha said that we would "*want* to" keep the Causes of our Suffering and contend ourselves with complaining about the Suffering. This is seen throughout the world. If I may offer, the closer one gets to the world (the more attached one is to it) the further away from Spirit (Awakening) one will find oneself. That is not an *opinion*, but rather a *classical* fact.

We are conditioned to *believe* or *think* that we are not conditioned and that we are not Sleeping. It is only in the discarding of the conditioned thinking that we Realize that we are conditioned and Sleeping. Otherwise we *think* that we are as Free as a bird and wide awake, "superman and ten feet tall". Many have Realized that they have been controlled and manipulated all of their lives and Work on remedying that shortcoming, and so they begin to Awaken. Most endure and numb themselves to the chains they are bound with because they enjoy Sleeping. Only by Observing ourselves and what thoughts arise in any Moment and why such thoughts would arise and for what purpose, do we start to see how conditioned thinking controls and manipulates us and how it impedes our Awakening.

It has been said, figuratively of course, that on one shoulder sits an Angel and on the other shoulder sits a Devil -- could it be the illusion most call *conscience* that urges us to play a conditioned judgement game of what is *good and bad* ? The Grand Trickster in motion indeed, for IN Awakening there is no *good and bad* but rather whatever the Direct Experience IN the Moment IS. When there is no more memory of what is good and what is bad, when there is no projecting of our likes and dislikes into/onto What-IS IN the Moment, when we respond IN Compassion rather than react in opposition, THEN there is Love. The Compassionate offering of Help due to the Recognition of Sleep IS Love.

When there is separation, there is separation, and perception has very little to do with it -- unless one is Sleeping, of course. Then it would have everything to do with it. Awakening, perception and/or perspective and/or interpretation is seen as the Masks of the Grand Trickster and has little use in offerings of Compassion and Empathy for the plight of those struggling to begin their Awakening. Indeed, we must usually *read between the lines* and not focus our True Attention on the words spoken. For to focus on each word is to distract us from Realizing that which is behind or beyond mere language. So I would not be correcting choice of words or grammatical structure, this, as you said, would be of little concern when the Intention is Communication. Statements or offerings from here are but Pointers, and it is hoped that one would focus one's attention on where the finger Points and not on the finger itself. If we Point our finger toward the heavens, and we gaze in that direction, we can See the Wonders of Life unfold before us. But if instead, when we Point toward the heavens, and we focus on our finger, we see nothing but the finger.

Fact is that you are already there, and when once the Door is Opened you will never be able to get it closed all the way. Awakening is sort of an in-line in-play Unfolding, as holding an onion in your hand and pealing it layer by layer until you Uncover the Core. And what is the Core of an onion ? Nothing ! That is the onion's True Nature, as it is our True Nature. When we reach this state of Nothingness, of BEing Void, of BEing Silence of mind, by pealing away our conditioned notions, we enter a most awesome state of Fullness that embraces everything that IS. IN/AS this Fullness we Realize Pure Emptiness in that we really never *make it*, for Awakening is a Wondrous Continual Unfolding like an ocean ever flowing. There are high tides and low tides and gales that churn the waters, an ever flowing Wondrous miracle of Life and Love and Peace and Beauty that is Eternal without end. Awakening is like the Eveready battery, it just keeps going and going and going and going and going...... We Realize that we *Woke-Up* but we also Realize that we will never reach some goal. Yet who would want to "walk away form it" ? Besides, the *light at the end of the tunnel* just might be..................... a Train.

We can never be Awake, but rather we Wake-Up and start Awakening. That is, Awakening is an ever Wondrous Continuous Unfolding that has no real *beginning* or *ending*. The Journey IS the Path, as the Path IS the goal. The point of demarcation from Sleeping to Awakening, the point that we Realize that we are conditioned programmed automaton robots controlled and manipulated by the Grand Trickster the conditioned mind is the only thing we can call a *goal*. To reach that seeming *goal* we must let go of all of our conditioned ideas and images and meanings and notions of all sorts and Dwell IN/AS the Moment from Moment to Moment. Beyond that there are no *goals* but rather an ever Wondrous Continuous Unfolding Awakening that has no real *beginning* or *ending*.

*I* can not start Awakening, *I* can not Directly Experience, *I* can not BE. Sleeping, *I* can do or be anything *I* want to do or be. Awakening, we let go of the *I* and simply DO and simply BE. *I* is part and parcel of our conditioned thinking and behavior, so must be let go in order for us to start Awakening. And there is no "club", for the Path of Awakening is a most Solitary Path that we must Walk ourself. No one Saves us but ourself, no one can and no one may, others can Point to the Path, but we ourself must Walk the Way.

Awakening, we let go of our opinions for they are but conditioned ideas and images and meanings and notions of all sorts. Intuition is a catch-all word used by most to indicate some Divine urging (which is generally toward some conditioned notion), when in Fact intuition is actually the Natural inclination toward What-IS. A handy tool in our Awakening when in bloom, but is not Awakening. So no we do not trade off the ego for our intuition, but rather use our intuition as a tool and let go of our conditioned notions which include our ego.

*Daily Meditations*

Our True Nature is a stand-along state of BEing on it's own It IS simply AS it IS and needs no support as it's not a clone, Can not be influenced or swayed by the senses or the mind Illusion melts away for the conditioned notions you'll not find. -- Yogajyotii

Your imaginary world just comes and goes as conditioned so Just come on back to Reality there is nowhere for you to go, And no matter where you go whether you take a plane or car You will never be anywhere else other than where you are. -- Yogajyotii

You must Empty the mind clear away the clutter of delusion For the cardboard world and paper people is just an Illusion, You think you know but all you know is you mind's contents Though most times the phenomenality can be most intense. -- Yogajyotii
