Day Of Reckoning
Understanding is the
Key to Realization, and so we can only Realize that which we can Understand.
If we can only understand that which is not so, then we can never Realize
that which is so. So it would behoove us not to equate that which is not
so with that which is so, for projecting conditioned notions into/onto
any given offering renders it invalid to us. That which IS is not in that
which it appears, but rather in the intention behind the seeming appearance.
Some times we only need Pointers to guide our Way, but other times we need
a Shock or Whack on the head to get our Attention to be focussed on where
the finger Points rather than be mislead by staring at the finger. Looking
in the direction that the finger points will reveal the intricate Truths
of all manifested form, yet staring at the finger too closely will only
block our Sight of those Truths. Holding a penny up to the sky at arm's
length we see the penny and the wonders of the visible universe, yet holding
the penny too close to the eye we only see the penny.
I would opt to enjoy
the Beauty outdoors, and may even get a laugh at people wearing masks to
attract attention to themselves. For the response that they may be wanting
us to make is not a response they project into us, that is auto suggestion
under hypnosis and nothing to do with desires or conditioned notions. Conditioned
notions do not work that way. You see, we are conditioned to react or respond
in a predictable way to a given stimulus. Desire is no different, for we
are conditioned to desire, crave, want, that of this impermanent physical
realm and our natural urge to procreate is manipulated in this way.
Does the seed desire
to blossom into a wondrous flower ? Does the seed desire the nutrient of
the soil, or the water, so that one day it will enjoy the sun light ? Does
the magnificent flower desire to mature so that bees and birds may take
of it's pollen and nectar ? Does the flower desire to pollinate or produce
further seeds that may one day become yet another magnificent flower ?
Do any of the various kingdoms in Nature desire other than the human kingdom
? Is it not more than coincidence that the only kingdom in Nature that
is controlled and manipulated by the Grand Trickster is none other than
the human kingdom ? I bid you, Openly and Honestly Observe your desires
to see who is really pulling the strings. A hint is: it is not your Divine
Nature.
Indeed, enjoy the sights
and sounds. Suppress nothing, avoid nothing, but Realize the futility in
conditioned notions of craving. Not a necessary evil.
These will be different
from one person to the next, so we Openly and Honestly Observe our every
thought and every action and/or reaction. And if we are Open and Honest
with ourselves, and not rationalize what we Observe, we will understand
that which controls and manipulates us. THEN we can let it go. Self-Observation
is a Self-Inquiry, so YOU must see your defilements not just me and others.
Anyone can point out another's defilements but such is not of use UNTIL
you Realize these defilements. I can not Save you, for no one Saves us
but ourselves, no one can and no one may, others can Point to the Path,
but we ourselves must Walk the Way.
Do not *want*, Do or
do not, but never simply want.
And so you will continue
existence on the Wheel of Life and Death until you get off the merry-go-round.
Awakening is like this, on a merry go round speeding ever faster so we
cling tightly for our safety. For we know that if we let go we will be
thrown to the dirt and have to endure much pain. The fact of the matter
is, though indeed it is painful to let go, the pain recedes quite quickly
and we are Free form the dizziness we experienced on the merry go round.
Let go.
*Created* indicates a
beginning, yet there is no beginning or end to a given Moment -- IF we
are always AS the Moment. The Moment is Eternity, though indeed it IS in
and of itself. "Spontaneous" also indicates a beginning. Just
pointing out how misleading your statement is to others and perhaps to
yourself. When you first wrote me you were concerned about people not accepting
what you would say. Could it be because your presentation was contradictory
? This is not to be critical, but rather to Point to Openly and Honestly
Observing yourself, your thoughts and words and actions. I also told you
before that the intent of my criticism would be constructive. Please accept
my offerings as such.
It is very True that
none are qualified to discern deficiencies in others who have not discerned
them in oneself. Only those who have tread that Path, Walked that Journey,
Truly observed themselves, can Point out pitfalls that lay before us, for
no one else could know. If one has not observed what pitiful wretch one
is, a controlled manipulated automaton, wallowing in the pain of self-pity
and self-admonition, one could not related the Fires of Hell that Burn
there. But when one Truly Openly Honestly looks into the Mirror of Truth
and admits to himself that such defilements must be wrenched out regardless
of the pain, and wrenches them out, THEN one can understand the Suffering
that his Brethren endures. THEN can one understand what it is to wrench
out such defilements. THEN can one Help another to do the same. It is a
rude Reckoning, but a Reckoning that we all must face if we are to start
Awakening.
There are no "what
ifs", there is only What-IS. There are no speculations nor rationalizations,
there is only What-IS. We choose nothing for there are no choices, as Karma
chooses nothing. The short of it is that Karma merely arranges events and
situations (including re-birth) suitable for our Growth. Karma sets up
the potential or inclination of what is Needed based on established Growth
of the last incarnation. Quite mechanical and non-judgmental. Karma is
not an entity in itself, but rather an Operation of Cause and Effect. And
in the state that we are in before re-birth, we are not capable of making
choices and judgments -- fully aware of where we have been and where we
are and where we are going, but incapable of anything but going with the
flow of the Wheel of Karma/Reincarnation. So, speculate and rationalize
not, for you are only spinning your wheels -- study and understand.
Do not try to fix that
which is not broken. Do not apply beliefs to understand that which requires
no beliefs to understand, for beliefs only get in the way of our understanding.
Embrace my offerings AS the ARE, projecting nothing into/onto them. You
will glean more Insights if you do this.
Indeed it is, but Awakening
is the melding of Ying and Yang as a Balance of One. When all aspects are
in Balance there is but One, both ying and yang as well as neither ying
and yang. Sleeping, we juggle the two. Awakening, we meld the two to One
for there can BE only One.
"Believe" not,
for belief is the Veil of True Understanding. Either you Know or you do
not Know, but there is no room for belief in Awakening. There is no "higher
level", for you ARE all levels, your beliefs Veil that Understanding.
You must let go of conditioned notions and Open to What-IS. A couple more
words to look up in the site search engine: *What-IS* and *Conditioning*.
Pointing out that this
sort of thinking in regards to Desire is like climbing the stairs of a
20 story skyscraper, getting on the roof, walking over to edge of the roof,
jumping off the roof to the awaiting pavement below, and complaining because
we did not survive the impact when we hit the pavement. What I am saying
is that if you do not climb to the roof of the skyscraper (do not generate
Desires), do not jump off the roof (do not give energy to Desires), there
will be no impact to deal with. We give birth to Illusions and give them
credence by letting them control and manipulate us (either through suppression
or enacting them), then complain because they are Illusions that damage
or hurt us. If you are going to stand out in the rain, do not gripe when
you get wet.
Come in out of the rain
! That is, stop generating Desires. That is, when you see a perfectly designed
automobile for example, appreciate it's perfection and even compliment
the designer, and let it go at that. The same would apply to anything in
the physical manifested realm, appreciate it's beauty and let it go at
that. It is not permanent so why dwell on possessing it. Besides, you could
only use it for the time that it is around or the time that you are around
-- which may be a pleasant experience, but not worth grasping after it
or clinging to it. You can not take it with you.
What-IS is What-IS and
can be no greater or less than What-IS so expansion would be out of the
question. It is AS the Void that What-IS does Unfold such that we are finally
able to Recognize it AS it IS. When we are empty, projecting nothing into/onto
whatever we experience, we can Recognize What-IS as it IS.
Life is to Directly Experience.
By Directly Experiencing life AS it IS and AS we Truly ARE without the
conditioned nonsense that we have to empty ourselves of, Awareness does
Unfold. The Key is to Directly Experience life Purely as undefiled elements
of life, instead of the automatons we have become. Do you remember in the
Garden of Eden, there was only Utopia or Bliss or Peace or Contentment
? And the Fall of man was not in eating the apple, but rather in thereafter
desiring the apple that he ate. So life has become a struggle of emptying
ourselves of false notions to get back to a point where we can continue
to Unfold Awareness. The shame of it is that we immerse our young in the
same stagnant cesspool that we are in. And so the beat goes no...........
Our concern should be
what use are we to ourselves, for we can only Save the world by Saving
ourselves. You should spend more time on worthwhile projects rather than
contemplating your woeful state. For the woeful state is but a smoke screen
by the Grand Trickster to keep your thinking muddled.
This is not to slight
the awesome struggle we go through to Dwell IN the Moment even for an instant,
for the Grand Trickster is a more than worthy adversary. But beat him we
must, for he is the Slayer of the Real and of Truth. The Slayer must be
Slain, and we are the only ones who can do it. No one Saves us but ourselves,
no one can and no one may, others can Point to the Path, but we ourselves
must Walk the Way. Experiment: there is no past, there is no future, we
are an entity that just materialized from the aethers -- in this strange
place, strange because it is the first Moment of our existence -- we have
no memory of where we were or even if we were -- strangely we recognize
everything that we see as though we had seen it before -- we know that
we are, and all we see is, but where all of this NEW experience fits into
the scheme of things is beyond our understanding -- so we embark on a Journey,
but where this Journey will lead us is again beyond our understanding --
we embark, we Journey, we Directly Experience, we greet all that we experience
anew for to our understanding we have never experienced it before this
Moment -- nothing we experience, including ourselves, has any history,
all simply IS as it IS. Even an instant of Awakening is the beginning of
the rest of your Awakening. And each progressively instant of Awakening
sets up a pattern, unbeknownst to us because our whole existence is a new
experience, that lends us to further instants of Awakening.
Recognition, acceptance
of the responsibility, is of primary importance if we are tired of dealing
with Desires and seek a way out from under their control and manipulation
of our thinking and behavior. Now that this step is taken we are in prime
position to Slay that Slayer. And I gladly offer the Sword of Truth to
Help you BE the Monster-Slayer that you ARE.
A primary first step
is admitting that there is a problem and that we are the problem. But the
Key is quite simple -- STOP ! That is, stop Desiring. What is worthy of
Desiring ? A new car, new clothes, fine food, expensive furniture, money,
a beautiful or handsome person to spend time with, a mansion in Beverly
Hills, an penthouse at Buckingham Palace ? 'Things' to enjoy for as long
as we can, for sure. But Desire ? You see, Desire requires a presumption.
A presumption of some future event. That is to say that Desire is not in
the Moment, but rather in the past. For the past requires a future -- dwelling
in the past from this very Moment is a statement that this moment is the
future of the past. So as we Desire something in this present Moment, we
are placing a future event when that Desire will be satisfied. So the Key
would be dwelling in the Moment for there is no Desire when we dwell in
the Moment -- there is no past and no future so there can be no Desire.
Letting go of, or discarding our conditioned notions and dwelling in the
Moment establishes us in a state of Desirelessness. Further, letting go
of our conditioned notions establishes us in the Moment. Mathematically:
- conditioned notions = in the Moment = Desirelessness. Mathematically:
+ conditioned notions = in the past and in the future = Desire. And one
does not have to be a rocket scientist to calculate this math.
Whether one opts in or
opts out, either option is suffering whether it be conscious or otherwise.
Sleeping IS suffering. Sleeping, there are options. Awakening, we do what
must be done AS the Moment due to the Moment -- there is no option. What-IS
is What-IS, so our only option is What-IS. So if you like to call it an
option, we have the option of What-IS or What-IS. I prefer opting for What-IS,
yet another may prefer opting for What-IS. Whereas Sleeping, indeed we
have a multitude of options.
It is called *conditioned
automatonic response*. No muss no fuss, just follow the Grand Trickster's
script.
I primarily address the
unconscious suffering, for that is the suffering that is due to our conditioned
notions, that we refuse to admit or acknowledge. Conscious suffering is
when we know that we are suffering but can find no solution to our problems.
Solving our problems is all about giving up trying to solve our problems.
When we Truly Openly Honestly Observe ourselves, we Realize this to be
so. It applies to life in general, in that, when we stop grasping and stop
trying to hold onto things and simply BE, with no thoughts of past or future,
embracing the Moment that we are AS, we do not need solutions because we
do not have problems. When people tell me that they have a problem that
they have to solve, I tell them "no, there is no such thing as a problem
so there is no such thing as a solution. There is only a situation that
is waiting for us to give it a direction. And you can not give it a direction
while Sleeping".
Babies, they are an Open
book. They have nothing to hide nor anything to fear and not yet conditioned,
so they are very Open and Honest and Innocent in their reactions and responses.
Sure, there is the rare incidence where this will not hold true, but that
is due to abuse of some sort. As a general rule for the vast more than
majority, this is the fact. But then, if we can not Understand the language
of this Open book perhaps we should take a reading class.
And who would want to
observe the synaptic neurological workings of the brain ? A fascinating
study, but that is not what we can readily Observe. We can readily Observe
the Open Honest Innocence in their actions and Realize that perhaps this
is what Jesus meant when he said that we "must be as little children"
-- an Open Honest Innocence, in Love with life and everything in it and
about it. We fear this, for it is a Spark of Divinity that we the Sleeping
world does not emanate. So we destroy it by defiling the new born babe
Guru by brainwashing it to our liking. When we have made of it the automatonic
machines that we are, we no longer fear them. We are conditioned to fear
that which we do not know or understand. It is the fear that we might be
infected by this new born babe Guru and "be as little children"
-- now what would the Grand Trickster think of this ? Major punishment
for sure.

Awakening, we Realize
*facts* (Truth) AS the Direct Experience of the Moment without any conditioned
projections interfering or distorting the Direct Experience OF the Moment.
Sleeping, we compare what we are conditioned to *believe* to be facts with
other conditioned so called facts -- and even reach an agreement at times.
Such comparisons stave off conflict at times, but does not establish Truth
or Real Fact. If we were taught it or learned it or believe it or pick
it up from someone else it is an illusion that we are conditioned to think
is a fact. If we Realize it due to the lack of conditioned notions about
facts and anything else, it most likely will be a Fact or Truth. Conditionings
are conditionings and facts are facts, and nare doth the twain meet. It
is all about the difference between what we *think*, and What-IS -- which
is by far, rarely the same.
Separation is an Illusion
indeed. But Soul and Christ and God and Buddha and Muhammad and whomever
are but Pointers or Mantras for Dwelling AS the Silence or the Void or
Awakening, and will never be Found Within. When we Dwell Within, we Realize
ourSelf. And AS ourSelf we Realize these other Pointers, for they can be
none other than ourSelf. And to Realize oneSelf we must discard the conditioned
notions ABOUT these Pointers.
The *Salvation* game
of the more Christian type belief systems talk about *backsliding*, due
perhaps to peer or family pressures. Salvation, unlike Awakening, is an
group at usually a revival meeting that can lose it's strength after the
meeting and after one is Saved and so one can return to one's old ways.
As I am sure you Realize, Awakening is an ongoing Unfoldment and Realization
of What-IS Moment to Moment that never really ends. In fact, it never really
begins, but rather always has been and always will be -- we just have to
remove the Veils to Realize it. You see once we get the modus operandi
of conditionings down pat, we always maintain a vigilant Watch for them.
So when we find ourselves "slip back into the conditioning" we
immediately Realize the Illusionary nature of such conditionings and so
end being duped.
May I offer, that since
Realizations are not verbal that our best explanation would be to Point
to where others can make these Realizations as well. Then there would be
no explanations required. For as I am sure that you Realize, though we
speak of a Direct Experience, that Direct Experience can not be Experienced
by another until they themselves have Experienced it. We can only speak
Truth and exemplify that Truth in the hopes that others will Realize Truth
themselves.
The very difference is
*speaking about* Truth and *speaking of* Truth. Any Sleeper can *speak
ABOUT* Truth but only the Awakening can *speak OF* Truth. Sleepers speak
about truth that they have been conditioned to speak about or the truth
that they read yet do not Truly Understand. Usually offering quotes of
such Truth as some authenticity that they recognize Truth. But alas, they
are conditioned to accepted this seeming truth and quotes of truth from
conditioned authorities.
